Entrepreneur Society HKU ('ESo') is a student-led non-profit organization that aims to support cultivate the spirit of entrepreneurship and support founders. We create a platform for ideas to be shared, developed and realized through inter-disciplinary collaboration. We host events and create media related to entrepreneurship, including our upcoming podcast — The Startup Drip, Where Creatives Get Connected!

We have two main teams to carry out our initiatives, the Strategic Development Team and ESo Ventures. Our Strategic Development team ('Strat Dev') brainstorms, plans and executes ideas to cultivate the spirit of entrepreneurship within the HKU Community. It is also responsible for marketing, social media and forming partnerships with other student societies.

ESo Ventures is our new initiative for the 2022-2023 academic year, where we build an angel investment network to bridge early-stage startups to angel investors by writing detailed and insightful due diligence reports. We have established a network of over 15 partners including venture capital firms, startup incubators and accelerators, and academic institutions to train our student associates ('associates') through an 18 hour intensive Venture Capital workshop. We then leverage our academic resources to find innovative solutions and founders that are ripe for angel investment.
